Dr. Brian Paris

Beginning back in his days as an all-state lacrosse player in New Jersey, Dr. Paris’ interest in body mechanics and peak performance helped dictate a career path in chiropractic and human performance. He began his college studies at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, finishing with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiological Sciences from the University of Maryland, College Park with a focus in biomechanics.

Dr. Paris continued his studies at Life University in Marietta, GA earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic. While at Life University, Dr. Paris served as President of the Clinical Biomechanics of Posture technique club. He became a certified member early in school which led to teaching many of his colleagues. He is now a Clinical Biomechanics of Posture (www.idealspine.com) Distinguished Fellow. Dr. Paris served as a guest lecturer, while in school, in subjects such as spine biomechanics and biorheology. He also became certified in Neuromuscular Therapy while in school.

Upon graduation Dr. Paris moved to Maryland and began his practice at Planet Fitness, a local training facility in Rockville. Practicing there afforded him the opportunity to work on professional athletes such as Alonzo Mourning. While practicing there Dr. Paris had the opportunity to learn from many local trainers. In September 2003, Dr. Paris moved his practice to its current location in the King Farm Village Center. He continued his education by earning an advanced degree as a Performance Enhancement Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Paris has studied various functional rehabilitation techniques to help his patients perform better during daily life or on the field.

Currently, Dr. Paris plays indoor and outdoor club lacrosse to maintain his lacrosse skills and athleticism. He plays a vital role in the athletic performance aspect of Performance Lacrosse. Dr. Paris helps his players achieve maximum performance with their bodies and avoid injury.
